Batik is both personal and collaborative. Batik is both structured and free. Batik is both wild and meditative. Let's explore Batik!
Let's create a batik artwork/pattern that reflects your "Singapore". In this two-hour session, we will introduce common batik motifs as a warm-up and as an inspiration. This will be followed by a guided batik-making session where you will explore your inner artistic expression while tapping on the creative exchange among your fellow artists.
Need technical help about batik-making for the project? Or you simply want to have fun creating artworks with friends? Join us in this unique in-person session, get inspired and express yourself in batik!
Note: This session is designed for adult participants. However, the DIY batik kit is suitable for participants who are 7 years old and above. You may sign-up to get it delivered to your place at batikinfinity.com/register.
Tony Sugiarta is the founder of aNERDgallery, "an-art-gallery" which specialises in promoting Indonesian textile art of batik and tenun. Through the platform, Tony aims to educate and to connect makers and textile enthusiasts through experiential workshops, exhibitions and textile trips.

Suitable for 7 yrs old and above.
